We’re proud to be celebrating our 30th anniversary in business, and we couldn’t be more excited about what the future will hold for Devtra.

Devtra started out 30 years ago as a training company. This was the beginning of our journey in Health & Safety and really set the stage for developing The Checker.

We began providing inspection solutions with The Checker inspection checklist books years ago, and in the past decade, we debuted The Checker Software.

Our books have long been a great solution for inspections—and they will continue to be so. The Checker Software (which is software-as-a-service) adds features and capabilities designed to facilitate all aspects of managing and conducting an audit/inspection program.

Today, our customers can choose between books or the cloud-based software—or use a combo, with books.

“Our mission is to provide our customers across North America with the best solution—period—for inspections, audits, and other vital occupational safety reviews,” says our president and co-founder, David Lefevre.

“When we began 30 years ago, many companies weren’t inspecting equipment—much less facilities. And those that did typically used poorly designed handmade or manufacturer-supplied checklists—leading to unsafe working conditions. That’s why we started The Checker.”

A valuable feature of The Checker inspection books is that each book is designed specifically for a different type of equipment, with all the items necessary for each type, and no more. They’re accurate and easy-to-use.

The Checker Software is a full-fledged, multi-faceted inspection management tool that enables users to maximize the value of all audit/inspection processes. It is a culmination of the path we started on 30 years ago when we formed as Devtra Inc. We’ve created a powerful software solution to help customers maximize the value of the inspections, audits, etc. they’re already doing (or should be doing!)

Regular inspecting isn’t just a safe business practice. It’s smart business, saving money and time. Our customers over the years can attest to that.
